Too gray and wet for too many days for any picture taking this week. here are some oldies.
Moo goes camping last fall
all this rain makes me think the bluebonnets are going to be great this year. I am ready for them to get here.

It is so much fun to mess with depth of field.
and sun rays.
and grass flash and sun.
Which one of these two? I think I like the less gold one better, but I am not sure.

messing around with bokeh and depth of field in the Parma’s grass.
This one with my 300mm f4 and water droplets on the grass
and this one with my 80-200mm f2.8 and a leaf (new custom header picture)
here is a two flash “strobist” take on decorative grass headers
sb800 to camera left about two feet from the grass. Sb800 on the camera about 6 or 7 feet from the grass. both flashes bare. both on TTL.

these weeds have been fascinating me and I finally got the chance to photograph them this week.
and I bought a canon point and shoot (powershot S90) to carry around for more spontaneous pictures. It is a great little camera.

the daughter of a good friend of ours was married yesterday.
it was an outdoor wedding at Kindred Oaks in Leander/Georgetown/way north area. It was lovely and fun. the weather cooperated in a big way and it wasn’t too hot.

we went to the Long Center front lawn last evening for the concert in the park series from the Austin Symphony. It was big band night and it was great. Took a picnic. brought the camera and listened to the big band sounds followed by shaved ice snow cones. hmmmmmm.
Have I ever mentioned that I love Austin?
